The journal entitled. Revista Científica da UEM – Série Ciências da Educação is an academic journal published by the Eduardo Mondlane University. It is a multidisciplinary Open Access journal that follows a continuous publication model, where articles are published online as soon as they are ready, rather than waiting to be released together in scheduled issues. 

The journal Revista Científica da UEM – Série Ciências da Educação journal is open to works by national and international authors, as long as the editorial norms are observed. This journal publishes original articles, thematic reviews and short original articles resulting from research and allied activities. This journal publishes peer-reviewed research and follows a double-blind anonymized review process.

Its objective is to promote the visibility and impact of Mozambican and African research extended to other parts of the world by publishing high-quality original research for the benefit of scholars, educators, the general public and policymakers.

First published in 2012, the journal Revista Científica da UEM – Série Ciências da Educação is an international scientific journal, publishes original scientific research work, including original research papers, reviews, dealing with all aspects of:

Education: Educational policies and school management, Foundations of Education, History of Education, Special Educational Needs, Curriculum and Teacher Training, Higher Education and Innovation, Assessment and Quality, Digital literacy and the use of Information and Communication Technologies in Education, Vocational Education, Entrepreneurship and Work, Education, Environment and Society.

Psychology: Assessment, psychological intervention and Mental Health, Vocational, School and Professional Guidance, Career Management and the Outplacement/Separation Process, Risk behaviors and Suicide.

Early Childhood Development and Education: Inclusion, Gender and child protection, Early Childhood Education, Play spaces in promoting child development, Vulnerability of children with Special Educational Needs.

This journal does not charge Article Processing Charges (APC's) or any other fees. This is a diamond open access journal, with no fees to the reader or the author.

This journal publishes peer-reviewed research and follows a double-blind anonymized review process. Your submission will initially be assessed by our editors to determine suitability for publication in this journal. If your submission is deemed suitable, it will typically be sent to a minimum of two reviewers for an independent expert assessment of the scientific quality. The decision as to whether your article is accepted or rejected will be taken by our editors.

The Journal journal Revista Científica da UEM – Série Ciências da Educaçãos publish articles in Portuguese or in English. Authors can choose to submit their manuscripts either in Portuguese or in English. Authors may submit their article on online manuscript submission system.
